Today’s figures for confettisaas.com, the way the command prints them.

What it prints

The same figures the listing’s page shows, in the order the command prints them. Nothing is made up: a domain Ahrefs has not rated gets no rating, not a guess.

rating
The Ahrefs Domain Rating, out of 100. Read from Ahrefs, never estimated.
rank
The site’s position among every site on the ranking.
standing
Its percentile, printed when the site is in the top half.
category
The category the listing is filed under.
history
Every daily reading as a sparkline, and the rise since the first. Left out until the rating has moved.
measured
The day the rating was read.

A domain that is not listed yet

The command lists it, so there is a rank to print. Claiming the listing is free, and so is unlocking it with a badge. What unlocking buys.

  1. It checks that there is a website

The name needs a DNS A or AAAA record, with www. as the fallback. Nothing is listed for a name without one.

  2. It drafts the listing from the page

domainrating.lol reads the site and its Open Graph tags, drafts a title, a description and a category, and reads the Domain Rating from Ahrefs.

  3. It puts the listing on the ranking, locked

The card is blurred and the outbound link is nofollow. The output ends with the listing’s page, where whoever runs the site can claim it.

Options

The command sends the domain you typed to domainrating.lol and nothing else: no telemetry, no config files, no runtime dependencies. The environment variables and exit codes are in the README.

--full
A screen of its own, with the rating at double size when the terminal has room. It reads the rating again every hour. r refreshes, q quits.
--json
The raw answer as JSON, for scripts and CI.
--no-create
Only look the domain up. A domain that is not on the ranking is never listed.

Your site belongs on the ranking.

Free, and it takes a minute. Domain Rating sets the rank. What $19 buys is the blur coming off your card, never a better position.
